April 15Peter’s homework assignment tonight was to create a 6-panel comic strip about a “Fractured Fairy Tale.” To do this, he had to take a classic fairy tale and give it a twist, then draw the strip and include explanatory dialog and text. After going through many fairy tale possibilities, we settled on the story of the Gingerbread Man (“catch me if you can, I’m the Gingerbread Man!”).

The Gingerbread Man turned into Carrot Man, who was chased by an old lady, a dog and frog, but who outsmarted them all and got away. Then he was chased by a large bunny who used his foot to make a big thump on the ground, causing Carrot Man to fly up into the air where the bunny promptly gobbled him up.
